I was fortunate to work at Premios De La Radio 2014 and let me tell you guys I had a blast . Premios De La Radio is best described as the People's Choice Awards . That day I had the pleasure of working with Jacquelin Campos and Rosie Rivera two lovely women that I love and very much admire . Rosie Rivera hosted the Red Carpet and Jacqui performed a tribute to her Mother the Legendary Jenni Rivera another inspiring woman that I love so much . Premios De La Radio was held at the L.A. Live Nokia Center in Downtown LA immediately after arriving we quickly started setting up our stations and worked on Rosie.
On Makeup I started off by wiping her face with wipes by Alcone
sprayed her face entirely with Rose Water ,acts as a toner and smells amazing !
I let that absorb into her skin for about a minute or two after that I added an emollient moisturizer by Embryolisse
we cant forget to add some eye cream also thats just as important as face moisturizer .
I then applied Primer all over her face by Smash Box Cosmetics
For Highlight and Contour I used Cream foundations from RCMA Makeup.
The face foundation I used was from Face Atelier in shade 6 one of my go to HD foundations.

Yes Foundation and shadow is important for a Red Carpet look or any look ,but my main focus for this blog post is Skin ! Sometimes it really isn't all about the brand of foundation your'e wearing that season , It should also be what skin care method are you using ?
I use a light moisturizer during the day and a thicker cream for night time same goes for eye cream . Find your skin type . Is your skin oily , normal to dry ,very dry ,combination ? That will determine what moisturizer is right for you and the most crucial step of all WASH OFF YOUR MAKEUP ! Yes we all have those nights where were just way too tired or had a long night of fun and partying and it just doesn't happen when I have a case like that I like to keep baby wipes by my bedside that always helps and works as a reminder for me to remove my makeup .

How I Became A Makeup Artist
I was working at a medical office at about sixteen to nineteen years old I was so sure I was meant to be in the medical field I even dreamt of being a nurse, later on becoming a doctor and helping others.I was always into makeup throughout high school and of course when I was little I always got into my mothers makeup . I know some of us can relate on that one haha . While working at the Dr.'s office I spent some of my lunch hours doing makeovers on my coworker I fell in love with her expression the first time I straighten her curly hair I guess I can say shes the one who discovered me. One day in the middle of her makeover she just tells me "Andrea why don't you go to school for Hair and Makeup "? I had a reaction on my face like WOW I have no freaking idea I guess I never thought about it .I was so used to the idea of going to school becoming a Dr. because thats all I knew since high school . I went home that day researching everything on Makeup Artistry and on how to become a MUA ( makeup artist ) . The excitement on becoming a makeup artist just took over me completely. I ended up getting certified from two different Makeup Academy's and still passionate about continuing my education which is so important to do in anything you decide to do in your career . Since then I've had the opportunity to work on photo shoots,Tv shows, red carpet events ,tour around the states and more . The feeling of making others feel beautiful and confident makes me feel confident I enjoy experiencing that just like I'm sure anyone else would and I'm so thankful I get to call that my "Job". Its really true when people say "do something you love and will never work a day in your life".
Peace Love and Life
